Integrate Microsoft Teams with CISCO (Analog) PBX for 500 Users

Organization:

University in Tennessee

Solution: 

Achieve Teams Voice using Microsoft Teams Phone System via Direct Routing using Audio codes Mediant VE Session Border Controller (SBC). This solution achieves simultaneous calling. This SBC device supports call forking or an incoming call to multiple SBC users (destinations). Call forking is supported by the devices capability of registering multiple SIP client user phone contacts (mobile and fixed-line extensions) under the same Address of Record (AOR) in its registration database.

This project consisted of 3 Stages: Implementation of Teams Direct Routing, Implementation of Audio Codes Session Border Controller, and Training & Support.

Outcome: 

Using Microsoft Teams as a Phone System offers a secure and prosperous calling solution with Cloud calling features such as consultative transfer, music-on-hold, cloud voicemail and built-in flexibility and load balancing.
